Persons with gold become cupids. People compare them to Moon (Moon is a personification for cuteness, in India). They become Suns and get great glories (Sun is a personification for great effulgence). Persons without money become younger brothers of idiots.

Notes
I have used plural pronouns and verb forms to avoid gender discrimination which result from use of 'his, him'. The poet used masculine singular pronouns and verb forms as was the universal custom of those days to represent a person of human species.
Though this poem was said between 15th and 17th Centuries C.E., no wonder, its theme will have greater relevance today, rather than those centuries.
